The Basilica of St. Francis.

There is so much beauty in Umbria that falling in love is inevitable.

I thought to do a second post about falling in love with Umbria.  If you can’t make it to Gubbio, Assisi will definitely do the trick.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when we went to Assisi. Of course, I know about St. Francis and the beautiful things he did. He is the patron Saint of Animals which makes him my absolute favorite Saint. What I didn’t realize was how much his spirit permeates the entire town. When you walk around Assisi, you get this overwhelming feeling to be a good person. I felt serene and calm. The energy is undeniable. This was very unexpected and welcome and I hope that you feel the same way when you visit Assisi.

Below I will include REAL tourism links and some beautiful photos of our Visit.

A quick tip, Get there early otherwise you will not find parking.

Happy New year! Hope this year brings joy and Peace.
