A room with a view. Our lovely B&B in Trequanda

To get the most out of Tuscany, I love to stay in Crete Senesi

Recently someone in a Facebook group asked for advice on where to stay in Tuscany.

Naturally, I was ALL OVER that question. I think the natural inclination is to stay around Florence or Chianti. Obviously, it doesn’t stink to stay near Florence or Chianti but I highly recommend staying in the Crete Senesi.

To me, the Crete Senesi is where it’s at. Just south of Chianti and north of the UNESCO site of Val d’Orcia. The green rolling hills and tall cypress trees are what Italian dreams are made of. This location also has easy access to Siena and towns like Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Montalcino, Pienza, and of corse the Val d’orcia. You will also have easy access to Chianti and everything that the region has to offer!

I’ll include some useful websites, the link to the rustic/ beautiful B&B we stayed in, and some photos from our trips.

Hope this helps makes your Tuscany dreams a reality! 🥰
